Cl1p.net: the Internet Clipboard

Cl1p

I found an incredibly handy resource – cl1p.net. It’s billed as a quick way to “copy & paste between computers”. Just type http:/cl1p.net/anythingyouwant, and you “own” that url for as briefly as 1 hour or as long as 6 months. There’s also an “as long as possible” option. You can add text and upload up to 2 Mb in files. Not much, but it’s still handy. It’s quicker than email – I can easily imagine being on the phone, wanting to send a couple files to everyone on the call, and saying “just go to this url and grab them”. You can own the url, too, for $5 for a year, $20 for 5 years, and $35 for 10 years.

Glad to learn of textsnip. I like the constancy of the cl1p.net url, though. Plus, as of late they allow files of up to 30Mb to be uploaded.
